Hello dear friends,
Some activities are repeated each year in their “season”. So, today we’ll share some FHF winter, or cool & dry season, activities.
“I have seen the God-given task with which the sons of men are
to be occupied. He has made everything beautiful in its time.” (Ecc 3:10-11)
During cold weather, we buy and giveaway heavy blankets to the poor and needy. Here our social worker Joy is joined by college dorm students Nathan and Ploy. They gave blankets to a small hilltribe church. The pastor (at left) will see that the poor & elderly receive our gift.
“Right now you have plenty and can help those who are in need.” (2 Cor 8:14)
Each January our families unite for an annual “mission project”. This year they prepared gift bags of items (bought at their own expense) to give to patients in a local hospital. The children also helped. Adjan Yae, from Home of Comfort, was our cool Santa.
“But good men will be generous to others and will be blessed of God for all they do.” (Isaiah 32:8)
At Home of Grace, young Benjamin also has been back in the hospital as doctors deal with problems in his transplanted kidney. Please remember him in your prayers.
“But to you who fear My name, The Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings” (Mal 4:2)
The cool weather is a great time for us to take annual portraits and record the growth and development of all the children & families. Here are two lovely pics: Rachel & Robin, and Gawley between them.
“They shall be Mine,” says the Lord of hosts, On the day that I make them My jewels.” (Mal 3:17)
The winter is time for good fishing and “cook-out” picnics. At home of Promise the girls caught fish in a nearby pond, then their house mother prepared an after-dark picnic.
“I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread.” (Psalm 37:25)
