It is a good time to just stay inside and read a good book. We encourage our children to read by letting them pick books for themselves and setting times in the homes for reading and study. “Till I come, devote yourself to [public and private] reading, to exhortation (preaching and personal appeals), and to teaching and instilling doctrine.” (1 Tim 4:13 Amplified Bible)
This was also the week for our Foundation Board Committee “annual meeting”. Here you can see how the board looked in 2011 (above) and how we look today (below). We’ve been blessed to have faithful and godly helpers.
“Overseers must be ready to welcome guests, love what is good, be wise, live right, and be holy and self-controlled.” (Titus 1:8)
While I was sorting through our archive of ministry photos from the past 14 years, I happened across a photo (on the left) of a young girl in a Buddhist school where we’d been invited to teach art and English to the children. Looking at the photo, I realized that little girl from 12 years ago, is now living in our FHF College Dorm! Her name is Ploy, and she is just as sweet and adorable now. “The Lord says, ‘I will bring my people back to me. I will love them with all my heart’” (Hosea 14:5)
Now we have another new girl who has applied to enter our Christian dorm as she attends the College of Culinary Arts in Chiang Mai. Her name is Mew.
“When someone becomes a Christian, he [she] becomes a brand new person inside. He is not the same anymore. A new life has begun!” (2 Cor 5:17)
Please pray for her, and for all our children and the other college dorm students. May God protect them and bless them with success in their studies.
Pray for all of our families and staff as we deal with air pollution that is so unhealthy. Ask God to bring clean air back to northern Thailand. “Then he asked them, “Where is your faith?” And they were filled with awe and fear of him and said to one another, “Who is this man, that even the winds and waves obey him?” (Luke 8:25)
Grace and peace to you in Christ,
